Kewho Min Father's Day in NYC

Time certainly passes quickly. It seems as if just yesterday I was writing an article on what to do for Mother’s Day in New York City. Now, it is officially June and Father’s Day is just around the corner. So you may be asking yourself: “What can I do for Father’s Day in the great city of New York?”

Luckily, New York City is absolutely full of things to do for any occasion. Here are a few fun activities to do with your father in New York City.

Glass Workshop

A prevalent stereotype of the American father is a sheer, unabashed love for alcohol, primarily beer. If your father does not fall into this stereotype, then this activity is probably not for you. However, if your father does enjoy the occasional ale, why not take him over to Brooklyn Glass, where you will work side-by-side with an experienced glassblower to create your own glass beer mugs. Afterwards, enjoy unlimited drinks and the company’s talented staff perform a bevy of glass-blowing tricks. Even if your father does not enjoy beer, it is still an exceptional bonding experience.

Sports Bar

What better symbol of father and child bonding is there than enjoying some good old fashioned sports? If you want to show your father a great night on the town, make sure to visit one of the multiple sports bars located throughout the city. Some of the more popular bars include Taproom No. 307 which offers 40 different craft beers and Stout which utilizes projectors to display a variety of sports games. As a special treat, if your father is an NBA fan, and the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors reach a 7th game in the NBA Finals, it will be held on Father’s Day. You two could potentially enjoy seeing the nail-biting conclusion to this year’s NBA Finals while enjoying some delicious food and refreshing beer.

Smorgasburg

Does your father have an appetite? If so, then consider taking him to Smorgasburg. Smorgasburg is essentially what it sounds like: a large collection of some of New York’s greatest food vendors offering the city’s citizens a chance to enjoy amazing food. With delicacies ranging from steak to duck to vegan and vegetarian specials, Smorgasburg is the perfect place to eat some food on Father’s Day.
