Anyone who knows me knows that I love New York City. It’s one of the greatest cities on Earth. It’s energetic and large, but it’s best feature is that there is always something to do. It’s a fantastic spur-of-the-moment place to be. If you’ve got the time, money and company to do something, you’ll find something to do.

That being said, although there is so much going on, it can be hard to find anything at all. With that in mind, I figured I would compile a list of fun things to do in the city this week.

Knit-At-Nite – Tuesday, 2/27 – Free

If you’re an experienced knitter, or you’re looking to start getting into it, look no further than Knit-At-Nite. The event, run by Brini Maxwell and Josh Bennett, is aimed at offering a fun, relaxed night for those looking to mingle and make some knitted materials. Regardless of your skill level, if you want to make some new friends, practice your knitting skills and enjoy some delicious drinks.

Purim: Night of a Thousand Faces – Wednesday, 2/28 – $15-$25

Purim is something of a lesser-known Jewish holiday, however, that doesn’t mean it isn’t a great time. For this masquerade-inspired event, you’ll need your most outlandish outfit in order to enjoy the musical stylings of Busquelo, Joro Boro and David Kiss. There will be several activities, such as body painting, dancing and the hora.

No Such Thing As Love – Thursday, 3/1 – $7

If love just simply isn’t your thing, then you will feel right at home at No Such Thing As Love. In this comedy show, you will hear terrifying tales of love. From worst first dates to embarrassing encounters, this show has everything you could think of, and it will leave you in stitches. The program is run by Claire Burns and Jessie Jolles and runs on a monthly basis.

New York City is amazing. Few cities feature as much varied entertainment as NYC. So, if you’ve got some time and money to spare, why not go to one of these events?
